Technical Writing
Objectives: Students will
plan a long-term research project communicating information about the career
they are pursuing. Students will develop
interview and research questions for their topic. Students will elaborate on subtopics to
support their main ideas. Students will incorporate effective research strategies
for on-line research.
Write Away: Consider someone coming to you for advice. What are three questions you think they would ask you about the career you are pursuing? Write or type these questions on a document.
Assignment:
Complete the RESEARCH AND INTERVIEW QUESTIONS document
Complete the RESEARCH SOURCES document
1) Create a folder in Google Drive
2) Download the assignment documents from the COURSE DOWNLOADS section
3) Place them into your Google Drive Folder
4) Open the RESEARCH AND INTERVIEW QUESTIONS document as a google doc.
5) Follow the instructions
6) Open the RESEARCH SOURCES document
7) Try to complete as many portions of the document as possible
English 4 Block 7:
Objective: Students will create a message in a bottle to explain what happened on the ship to the captain. Students will be
assessed for their comprehension of Ch 21-23 of Dracula. Students will
evaluate Dracula for a subset of culture and ELA.
Write
Away: There is a dead man on the boat, that used to have 20 men, with
his hands tied to the boat with crucifix. Create a scenario in 5 to 7
sentences explaining how he ended up this way. If you know why, then
explain it or create a new scenario.
Assignment: Follow the verbal instructions that pertain to the subset discussion selected for today.
English 4 Block 8:
Objective:
Students will quote and explain the best piece of imagery from chapter 27. Students will be
assessed for their comprehension of Ch 21-23 of Dracula. Students will
evaluate Dracula for a subset of culture and ELA.
Write
Away: Find and quote your favorite example of imagery from Van Helsing's Memorandum.
Assignment: Follow the verbal instructions that pertain to the subset discussion selected for today.
