Technical Writing

Objective: Students will practice outlining as a form of summariziation.  Students will comprehend and evaluate differences between general and specific instructions. Students will compare and contrast instructions and procedures.  Students will practice generating instructions.

1) Open a word document
2) Open to chapter 7
3) Outline chapter 7
4) Write instructions for 2 exercises on page 129 (NOT 7.2)
5) Exercises due at the end of class

English 4

Objectives:  Students will evaluate their comprehension of Dracula with a pre-test.  Students will identify the connections between Dracula and several cultural English Language Arts subsets.  Students will reread a key chapter of Dracula.

Write Away:  To the best of your ability, answer each of the 27 questions on the Dracula Pre-test.
on the back, answer these questions:

1. What percentage will you get right?
2. Did you actually read Dracula?
3. What did you do to familiarize yourself with Dracula?
4. How does your effort reflect your ability to be a responsible student or employee?
