Descriptive Writing Prompt 2—Describe a Thing…
Read over descriptive writing samples with students and identify elements that appeal to the senses.
Students are to choose a an object that they are very attached to, draw it in the center of a piece of paper, and create a web that lists aspects of the “thing” that could be described as they appeal to the 5 senses and emotion
Students will complete a rough draft of the supporting paragraphs that describe the object they have chosen

Tuesday

Conventions Practice, Week 8

Students are to choose a person or pet that is very distinct, draw it in the center of a piece of paper, and create a web that lists aspects the person that could be described as they appeal to the 5 senses and emotion
Students will complete a rough draft of the supporting paragraphs that describe the person they have chosen.
