Technical Writing

Objective:  Student will design and create 2 resumes based on the templates they chose on last Thursday.  Students will evaluate, analyze and apply guidelines from textbooks, presentations, and online research to complete their resumes.

Assignment:  Create a resume for Senior Interview Day (SID) using present day information

1. Open the resume template you found on Thursday
2. Open a new Microsoft Word document (not google docs)
3. Create your UNIFORM HEADER using tools (in Word or other places)
• This HEADER will be the same for every document you create
4. Build your RESUME to parallel but not copy the template you chose last Thursday
5. Use the guidelines listed on here GUIDELINES to make sure you have a quality product
6. Upload this to google docs and share it with me

Assignment 3:  Create a resume for a FUTURE interview, anticipating the completion of your post-graduate (or after years of experience) goals.

1. Consider what character traits, activities, accomplishments and/or coursework you will have attained in 3, 5, or 10 years.
2. Open the resume template you created for your Senior Interview Day portfolio
3. Open a new Microsoft Word document (not google docs)
4. Create a NEW  HEADER using tools (in Word or other places)
5. Build a NEW resume to reflect the FUTURE YOU
6. Use the guidelines listed on here GUIDELINES to make sure you have a quality product
7. Upload this to google docs and share it with me
