Week 15

What makes a legend?










This week, we're going to delve into the world of the medieval.  Many idioms and cliches come from the story of King Arthur, and now we are going to create a legend about ourselves.  It looks to pour out into next week, but our normal Friday quiz remains.  Below is an outline:



Monday:

Vocabulary

Turbulent:  Wild or disorderly...King Arthur restored peace to a turbulent land.



Tournament:  series of contests...Sir Kay hoped to show his bravery during the tournament.



Integrity:  Honesty or uprightness...A knight's integrity kept him from wrongdoing.



Congregation: gathering of people...The king spoke to a congregation.



Coronation:  ceremony for crowning a king...Arthur was named king at his coronation.
