Class texts and updates

Welcome to 7th grade Language Arts!  If you check this webpage each week, you will be able to see the videos we'll watch in class, download quiz questions the night before, and play video games that actually help you learn!  If you are looking for the class syllabus, you will find it on the right under Course Downloads.

RECEIVING TEXT MESSAGE INSTRUCTIONS

If you are interested in receiving intermittent text messages about homework, assessment reminders, or project updates, please follow the directions below.  This is not required.  You do not have to give me your phone number and your student will not have mine.  I will not be able to receive text messages from you.  If you need to get a hold of me at any time, please email me at petermannm@usd320.com.

To receive messages, just text @mrpeterm to 630-948-4449                           or

Send a blank email to:  mrpeterm@remind101.com

This picture above makes it pretty easy; you can even do it by email without using your student's phone.
If that is confusing, follow these  step-by-step instructions:
1)  open a new text message on your cell phone
2)  type the this number as your intended recipient:  630-948-4449
3) compose this exact phrase as your whole message:  @mrpeterm
4)  hit send

You should receive a confirmation text shortly thereafter confirming your student's name so I know who has signed up for the service.  Please submit that, and you're done!

Note:  I may not send texts every night.  The lack of a text doesn't mean that there is not homework due.  I will never intend to send a text after 8:30pm CST.  And again, I do not receive texts from you at that number.  If you have questions about your student, please email me at petermannm@usd320.com.
