Doh! Have to hit Publish!

If one were to blog, they would know that there is a need to push the publish button in order to post anything. I have not done that, so here are the week plans, Half over!

My favorite part of the week is yet to come though: The Most Dangerous Game and the 100 word essay (exactly 100 words).

Test on Friday!
Student review a sample dialogue.
Students review the conventional rules of dialogue.
Point out that dialogue is easy to recognize, and that it is used to tell a story and/or provide insight to characters.
Students write their own dialogue based on the scenarios provided.

Literature
Students read text and listen to audio of “The Monkey’s Paw”
Students answer study questions over “The Monkey’s Paw”
Simpson’s parody of “The Monkey’s Paw”
Optional writing prompt-this story seems to be a cautionary tale over the famous 3 wishes. What would be the wisest wishes if you were granted 3?
