Week 2

Well, we survived. Last week, in my opinion, was an excellent beginning to the year. I was so proud of all your hard work. Remember that effort to me is much more important than a grade. Think about it. If everything is easy and you don't develop a strong work ethic, eventually something challenging will come along and all you may do is quit because, "It's too hard." On the other side of the coin, if you are always working hard but can not quite get the grades you want, I promise an opportunity for you to shine will appear and your grit will bring you to the pinnacle of your dreams!

Okay, enough cheesy stuff. : )

This week is gonna be fun with touching on the olympics, moving forward with Treasure Island, and incorporating Latin roots into the curriculum. There will be a quiz this Friday on content and Latin roots. The Latin roots will be dealing with numbers like uni- (which means the number 1, like unicorn or unicycle).
